JGuide: Stanford Guide to Japan Information Resources
Created by the US-Asia Technology Management Center at Stanford University, JGuide is the WWW Virtual Library for Japan. It provides links to a wide range of sites on a variety of topics, with brief descriptions of content. English, Japanese, and bilingual pages are clearly indicated.
Duke University Library East Asian Collection Japanese Studies Resources
Online guide to print and online resources for Japanese Studies, including reference tools (dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, etc.), subject-specific resources, scholarly associations and collections, and websites. Information about Duke-specific holdings is also provided.

Maintained by the University of Massachusetts, Amherst East Asian Collection, this site provides succint introductions to a wide range of resources, along with advice on how to search for particular kinds of materials.

Provides searching for and brief citation records with links for internet resources from around the world. Searching in various languages is possible. Sites may also be browsed by subject. Subject covered include General, Philosophy, History, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Technology, Production, Art, Language and Linguistics, and Literature. Each category is then organized into subcategories. Newly added resources are clearly indicated.
Humanities Websites in Japan国内人文系研究機関
Created and maintained by Hitoshi Goto 後藤 斉of
the Department of Linguistics at Tohoku University 東北大学. Frequently updated lists of links to sites in Japan and around the world. Especially strong on linguistics and language teaching. English and Esperanto versions are available, but the Japanese page is the most extensive and provides more annotation.
PAIR - Portal to Asian Internet Resources
Links to and descriptions of a wide range of resources in the humanities
and social sciences dealing with Asia. The portal is maintained by the
libraries of the University of Wisconsin, the University of Minnesota,
and the Ohio State University. To limit searching to a particular area,
click on the map or choose the Atlas Search - text version to select
the relevant place.
